After an extended stretch of bad luck regarding injuries, the Green Bay Packers appear to have finally received some positive news. According to ESPN Adam Schefter, Packers running back Ty Montgomery rib injury is not as bad as previously feared. Schefter says Montgomery is day-to-day and could still play against the Dallas Cowboys next Sunday. This is definitely welcome news for the Packers. While rookie Aaron Jones played well against the Chicago Bears Thursday, this means Green Bay won be forced to mold their running game around Jones https://www.packersgearstoreonline.com/Packers_Mason_Crosby_Jersey
, fellow rookie Devante Mays and fullback Aaron Ripkowski. Jamaal Williams, also a rookie and the primary backup to Montgomery, suffered a reported sprained knee Thursday night according to NFL Network Ian Rapaport and will miss some time. The Packers are by no means out of the woods in regards to their injury epidemic, but this is an encouraging sign for their starting running back. At a time when the team played a game with four guards and a center along the offensive line, Green Bay needs all hands on deck at the remaining positions https://www.packersgearstoreonline.com/Packers_Jamaal_Williams_Jersey
.With the exception of Williams, it looks like the Packers will still be ok at running back. Montgomery played well on the opening drive against the Bears before leaving with the rib injury and it looks like he will be able to continue to build on that performance.Even though it might still hurt him to breathe a little bit, Montgomery and the Packers are definitely breathing a sigh of relief today.
